Intel Quad core,
22 inch lcd screen,
900 GB , two hard drives,
Memory 2.GB
Graphics GeForce 9300M GS 1023 MB
2.33 GHz,
1.5 mega pixel in built camera, and in build microphone
Surround Sound two speakers + base. Logitec 230V-50HZ
Very Basic wireless keyboard and Mouse no extended buttons,
small remote control for windows media centre slots into side of keyboard,
just for note this was not bought for gaming just general software movies chat file sharing type use,

just wondering was i ripped off or was it good deal, they threw norton 360 in for half price it was not a choice it came with the pc lol.
also might being doing a bit of small networking with computer.

Quite expensive because it only has 2GB RAM and Nvidia integrated graphics. And another thing, all-in-one PC is difficult to upgrade because it is encased like a laptop. It is the upgradeability of a PC that extends its life for more years.

The second one is a nice system and while it could be a lot for Sims3 both will be great for future games and especially for Sim4 I am sure if/when it comes out. I own a Z55 and a Z30, another Z30 soon and will own their new tablets once they come out, I am a very happy Velocity Micro customer, they have amazing machines and service. You might want to give their phone sales guys a call, they are very nice and pretty knowledgeable, they speak english too and can lean you towards the machine you need, very honest, they are based out of Virginia.

I’m looking for a thing with play/pause buttons, prev/next track and volume/mute buttons that uses USB interface and has a headphone jack. I want to use my netbook as an mp3 player without getting the whole thing out of my bag just to change a song. Basically it’s the same as the remote for the PSP or iPod touch, but with a USB interface for PC.

Thanks,
Jake

All the media remotes I located are wireless with an infra-red usb jack. Doubtful you can find one that is not wireless.

Rationale: you may as well use your mouse and click on the interface controls on your screen.

IR Receivers are usually no bigger than a flash drive on 6-8 inches of cable. If you are using a laptop as a media player, keep the IR receiver at the one open end, dongle it out and use the remote to change it that way.

With this program, you will be able to make your USB webcam thats laying around work with your Mac. Why would you do this? If your Mac has no camera, or your camera is broken. It also gives you a different source so when screen casting, it will give you a different view. You spent some good money on your camera when you had your PC, so dont let it go to waste!

it is an old pentium 133, has no CD drive, no usb ports, and has windows 98 on it. it only has a 1gb hard drive so is useless on its own but it would be handy as a remote connection to my main pc (connected via wires, not wireless)
it has no ethernet port, it has a pcmia port but it wont accept the usb card i have.
it has a parallel port on the back and also a smaller port (about 1" wide, looks like the ols spectrum joystick ports) which i was using for an external modem connection.

If it has a network port on it or a PCMCIA slot that you can add a network port, you can use whats called RealVNC. It’s a free remote desktop software and it works great. And the speed of the laptop won’t mean much in a remote desktop environment, so you should be safe there.

If you do install VNC, just make sure you setup a password, otherwise someone on the internet could gain access to your computer.

Also, RealVNC may show up as spyware if you install it, because technically it is – it allows you to "spy" on your computer. I know Spybot Search and Destroy see’s it as spyware, so I’ll assume other scanners do as well. Rest assured, it is not a spyware program, and is used by TONS of people.

Hope that helps.
