LIRC (Linux Infrared remote control) is an open source package that allows users to receive and send infrared signals with a Linux-based computer system.

There is a Microsoft Windows equivalent of LIRC called WinLIRC.

With LIRC and an IR receiver the user can control their computer with almost any infrared remote control (e.g. a TV remote control). The user may for instance control DVD or music playback with their remote control.

One GUI frontend is KDELirc, built on the KDE libraries.

    wii remote rechargeable battery review

Posted by admin on March 29th, 2010 and filed under usb remote | 15 Comments »

    * This product can only be found in Target stores*(at least to my knowledge)
    Cost -10$ and change
Quality- It fits snugly in the back of the controller
Appearance- White with a grip on the back
    play time- 13 hours

    Link to product

    No charge station required
    Usb(play and charge)

    Cons
No given amount for how long it needs to be charged
The grip part gets dirty so cleaning is optional
the usb cable is short so if you plan on charging and playing you have to sit closer to your wii.

All in all its great for the price because the gamestop itself is 10$ but you need a charge station so its a great buy 4.5 out of 5
