    This is a tutorial of the chapter 9 activity under the section Performing Remote Acquisitions. Also include is a demonstration of a simple use RealVNC software to control computers on a LAN from one computer of the LAN. Runtime Software offers a pair of software programs that work together to acquire a hard drive image of a remote computer. The client computer, which is the computer doing the acquiring, run DiskExplorer and the host computer, a.k.a. the suspect computer, will have to fun HDHOST. HDHOST does not have to be installed on the host computer. It can be executed from a USB thumbdrive. This is part one of two parts. This part describes the setup and the activity up to the beginning of the actual hard drive acquisition.
